10 December 2001 - Radio France: Jerome performs on the show "LES CHEMINS DE LA MUSIQUE: TRADUIS-MOI UN SUCCES" which will be broadcast on the French radio station France Culture on December 13 and 14 at 10.30 am (CET). These two broadcasts are a part of a series of broadcasts dedicated to American and British musical theater. 20 November 2001 - JCS video: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR won an International Emmy Award last night in New York, in the category "Best Performing Arts". The 29th International Emmy Award Winners were announced last night during a gala event at the New York Sheraton Hotel and Gale Edwards, the director, was there to collect the award. 19 November 2001 - Crime of Passion CD: The Crime of Passion CD is now for sale online from Dress Circle at the following address: http://www.dresscircle.co.uk/product.asp?StockID=22876. The price is £14.39 for shipment in the UK, £14.99 for the rest of Europe and £15.49 for USA and Canada. Orders are usually dispatched within 3 weeks of the ordering date. 13 October 2001 - Crimes en Série: Jérôme will make a few appearances in the next two episodes of the French TV series "Serial Crimes" (Crimes en Série) which he just finished filming in Paris. The episodes will be called "Le voyeur" and "La pécheresse" and will be broadcast in France in 2002. 16 September 2001:
16 July 2001 - Edinburgh Fringe Festival: Jerome hopes to preview CRIME OF PASSION at the Fringe on August 2nd, open on August 6th and now run through to August 27th (no performance on the 20th). The performances will be at the Pleasance Dome at 3.40 pm. The official programme of the festival is available from the Fringe offical website at http://www.edfringe.com. Jerome also has plans to release a recording of the show in the coming months, but nothing is definite as of yet. 16 July 2001 - Crimes en Série: Jérôme starred in a French TV series called CRIMES EN SERIE, broadcast in France last June, and he will be doing a bit of filming on a further episode of the series this summer. 16 July 2001 - Forum St Germain: Jérôme will be performing in a new musical show written by Valentine Petit and Richard Galliano premiering at the Theatre du Forum St. Germain (Paris) in January and February 2002. 11 June 2001 - Road Movie: Jérôme will be starring in ROAD MOVIE in Paris at the Sudden Theatre 25 Sept- 28 Oct 2001 (show starts at 10 p.m.). This play, written by Godfrey Hamilton and translated by Jérôme, is about a man driving across America to surprise the lover he abandoned. Jérôme will be the solo performer of the play, switching smoothly among various characters (the original English text has been published by Nick Hern Books and is available in paperback through amazon.com). 09 May 2001 - Crime Of Passion: Jerome will be performing in the Edinburgh Festival in CRIME OF PASSION, a one man show. As of today we know that the confirmed dates are August 6th to 20th. The performances will be at the Pleasance Theatre at 3.40 p.m every afternoon. 27 February 2001 - Radio 4: The play SOMEWHERE IN THE DESERT will be broadcast on Radio 4 on next Thursday, 1st March at 2.15-3.00 pm. According to the Radio 4 website, the play is written by Dominique Sigaud, translated from the French by Frank Wynne and adapted by Penny Leicester. In this meditation on the meaning of life and death, love and hate, an American woman sets out to discover the fate of her husband, who was missing in action at the end of the Gulf War. The play is directed by Julia Butt and it also stars Janice Acquah, John Sharian and Abigail Ramsay. 17 February 2001 - BBC Radio 2 & 4: Jerome performs on the show FRIDAY NIGHT IS MUSIC NIGHT which is broadcast in the UK on BBC Radio 2 on February 23rd at around 7.30/8.00 pm. It is an hour long broadcast and he sings some solos and duets with the BBC Concert Orchestra. Jerome also did a play for Radio 4 - entitled SOMEWHERE IN THE DESERT which was a play to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Gulf War. There is no broadcast date available for that at the moment. 30 October 2000 - Jesus Christ Superstar: Universal Pictures Video and Really Useful Films have just released Jesus Christ Superstar on DVD and video in the UK. This contemporary production takes you on a journey through the last seven days of Jesus' life, focusing on the central relationship between Jesus (Glenn Carter) and Judas (played by Jérôme). The new soundtrack recording has been simultaneously released alongside the video on 16th October, exactly thirty years to the day since the album was originally released. 30 October 2000 - Whistle Down The Wind: It was confirmed this morning that Whistle will close at the Aldwych theatre on Saturday 6th Jan 2001. Jérôme is still currently playing 'The Man', he playc all performances at Whistle including matinees. 30 October 2000 - Le Disciple: Jérôme finished filming LE DISCIPLE in Paris recently. The film will be shown in France at the beginning of next year. 29 June 2000 - Whistle Down the Wind: Jérôme will be taking over the role of 'The Man' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down the Wind (London, Aldwych Theatre) from 24th July 2000. This musical is about a group of Louisiana children who mistake a fugitive criminal for Jesus Christ. The original production opened in London on 1st July 1998 and was directed by Gale Edwards (who also directed the video and Broadway versions of Jesus Christ Superstar). 25 June 2000 - The Turtle and the Maiden: The film is listed in the lineup of a couple of festivals taking place in Europe in the coming weeks: it will be in competition at the "51 Mostra Internazionale des Cortometraggio" in Montecatini (near Florence) on 4 July and at the "16th European Film Festival Alpinale at Bludenz/Vorarlberg" (Austria) on 12 August. 25 June 2000 - Black Goes With Everything: The show which was expected to begin its run during the summer is on hold now for reworking for possible West End slot in the Autumn. 25 June 2000 - Jesus Christ Superstar:Jérôme has just finished dubbing Jesus Christ Superstar. The JCS video and soundtrack are due out in October of this year in the UK and around Easter 2001 in the US. 14 June 2000 - The Dancer: The film was released in France on 7 June. 14 June 2000 - Vatel: On the day the movie opened the 2000 Cannes Film Festival (May 10th), Miramax made the surprise announcement that they're picking the film up for distribution in the USA. Miramax now announces that the US release is scheduled for December 25th, 2000. 14 June 2000 - Napoleon: The musical written by Andrew Sabiston (book and lyrics) and Timothy Williams (book and music), opens at the Shaftesbury Theatre October 17 following previews from September 30. Paul Baker takes the title role, with Anastasia Barzee appearing as Josephine. The production also stars German performer Uwe Kroger (alternative Napoleon) and David Burt (Talleyrand). 28 Apr 2000 - The Turtle and the Maiden: The short film was awarded a "mention spéciale du Jury" at the Digne film festival last March and will be broadcast on French Television on Channel 3 (France 3) next Tuesday (2nd May). 28 Apr 2000 - Vatel: The film will be released in France on 10th May (on the same day it is featured at the Cannes film festival). 28 April 2000 - Release dates: Three films featuring Jérôme will be released in France in the coming weeks : Vatel (10th May), Simon Sez (17th May), The Dancer (21st June). 24 March 2000 - Vatel: The Cannes Festival anounced the opening programme of the 2000 Festival. The opening film will be Vatel. It will be featured out of competion and as a world premiere. 24 March 2000 - Jesus Christ Superstar: The video will not be released in the UK until next fall. 14 March 2000 - Simon Sez: The film will be released in France on 17 May 2000. 9 March 2000 - Black Goes With Everything: The show will be having its first two weeks of performances at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley (Kent) from 24 March. Dates are: March 24 - April 8, Monday-Saturday evenings 7.45pm, Thursday & Saturday matinees 2.30pm. 9 March 2000 - The Turtle And The Maiden: The film will be shown on French Television (France 3) in May. 8 March 2000 - Black Goes With Everything: Jérôme will soon be perfoming in a new Musical Revue called Black Goes With Everything, a musical compilation of the songs of Don Black. The show is scheduled to open in the West End in April. 8 March 2000 - The Turtle And The Maiden: The film will be screened in Digne on 21 March, in Chemillé (Maine-et-Loire) on 25 March and in Grenoble on 28 March. 10 feb 2000 - Vatel: According to Reuters, buzz is building that Roland Joffé's film is talked up for the prestigious opening slot at the Cannes Film Festival this year (May 10-21, 2000). One factor involved in a Cannes appearance could be when Gaumont decides to release the picture, which is tentatively set for May in France and on June 1st in the US, but which could be held until after August when the summer holidays are over. The film will not finish post-production until the end of February. 22 nov 99 - The Turtle and the Maiden: The World Premiere of the short musical film will be held in India this December during the French Film Festival. This festival's lineup includes films such as East-West, The Dreamlife of Angels, Taxi or A Pornographic Affair. The film should be released in New Delhi, Calcutta and Bombay. The French Premiere of the film is still due at the Angers Film Festival next January. 22 nov 99 - Vatel: Roland Joffé's Vatel, which stars Gerard Depardieu as the title character, a master chef during the days of Louis XIV who must prepare a royal feast, will probably be released in Europe next May. Jérôme plays the part of a marquess. 22 nov 99 - Simon Sez: The film will be out on dvd in the US on 30 Nov. There is no official date for a French release of the film yet. 22 nov 99 - The Dancer: Luc Besson is currently producing "the Dancer", his third English speaking film. Jérôme plays a film director and he has blond hair! The film, directed by Fred Garson is about a young, talented but mute dancer, played by Mia Frye, whose dream is to perform on Broadway. The filming took place between 5 March and 19 May 1999 in Montréal, New York and Paris. The release date has not been made official yet. 24 sept 99 - Jesus Christ Superstar: The much awaited video will be shot in London from October 1 until mid-December. Meanwhile, the final cast is being revealed bit by bit. 24 sept 99 - La Jeune Fille et la Tortue: A private screening of Stéphane Ly-Cuong's short film featuring Jérôme will be held at the Max Linder movie theatre in Paris on October 9. The premiere of the film is due in Angers next January. 24 sept 99 - Simon Sez: The film is being released today in several American cities including New York and L.A. 17 sept 99 - Jesus Christ Superstar: The leading French theatre web site Reg@rd en Coulisse confirmed yesterday the rumor according to which Jérôme will be playing Judas in the JCS video to be released next year. Glenn Carter will be playing Jesus, the rest of the cast hasn't been confirmed yet. 17 sept 99 - Road Movie: As a result, the performances of Jérôme's new play, Road Movie, have been cancelled for the time being. New dates will be announced soon. 12 sept 99 - Jesus Christ Superstar: According to rumors, Jérôme has been contacted to perform the part of Judas on the forthcoming video of Andrew Lloyer Webber's famous musical "Jesus Christ Superstar". The rumor hasn't been confirmed yet, and no mention of this has been made on the official JCS web site, but an announcement is about to be made by the 'Really Useful Group' in the next few days. 7 sept 99 - Simon Sez: Jérôme will be playing the villain in the forthcoming US action-comedy "Simon Sez" starring basketball player Dennis Rodman. "Simon Sez", directed by Kevin Edlers and produced by Columbia Films, is about two detectives who forge a partnership and move in for the rescue of a young American woman kidnapped and held for ransom. Shooting took place in Nice (studios de la Victorine), and on location in Cagnes-sur-Mer and Villefranche-sur-Mer, during the summer of 1998.
