JEROME ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3

  • Q: You have worked in both theatre and film which do you prefer and if you could have any role what would it be? (Janet, London)

I love both mediums for different reasons. The ideal would be to alternate between the two as they complement each other. I don’t have any particular role in mind ; I think they come to you when you’re ready for them or when the time is right.

  •

  • Q: What style is your home decorated in and do you decorate it yourself? (Sue, Doncaster)

At the moment, it rather is Ikea furniture, but I plan to be more demanding than that in the future. I quite like antiques or modern styles, I would love to spend more time to think about interior design.

  •

  • Q: What advice would you give to someone like me who wants to go into acting profesionally? (becky, Wales)

It’s a tough world but if it’s your call, do it !

  •

  • Q: Do you have any brothers or sisters? How about neices and nephews? (Lena, London)

I have three brothers and no sisters. I have one niece and a nephew is on its way...

  •

  • Q: You told us on Sunday evening, that for the last Les Mis show, the cast blindfolded you at the barricades scene, but you never mentioned anything about the antics you got up to at the end. What were you wearing, or not wearing (as the case may have been), and did you have something written on your chest? (Jan, Wales)

    Sorry, won’t tell.

  •

  • Q: My question kind of refers to acting in particular... I just had an audition today for the school play of Wizard of Oz...and I had to sing, act, and dance all under a minute! I was totally not satisfied with my performance, my singing did not reflect what I really wanted and i was sad to not have had the opportunity to express myself into the character... My question is: In these types of situations especially in a large audience what would be your advice to become more like the character and control your singing ability? Have u ever felt disatisfied with a character that u thought could have been shaped better? (Kuka, san diego, USA)

Of course, always ; not only during the rehearsal process, but even in performance because we’re not machines and sometimes it’s really hard to keep at level. But that is the best challenge to always try to better yourself and improve what you do on a stage.

  •

  • Q: Which has been you biggest challenge in your life and which one you haven´t accomplished yet? (Maribel Manzanero, Mexico City, Mexico)

My biggest challenge is yet to achieve my goals and find happiness. I’ve achieved some, and I’m on my way...

  •

  • Q: Have you ever planned to be in Mexico? :(or at least Broadway? (please...Europe is to far for me although I don´t mind going as many times as I can) (Maribel Manzanero, Mexico City, Mexico)

If the US and Mexico want me to be there, I can assure you that I will.

  •

  • Q: What did you have written on your chest when you flashed at the cast? (Sharon, just got back from Paris)

    Sorry, won’t tell.

  •

  • Q: will you do crime of passion again for the unfortunate one's who missed it?.. (nicola, UK)

As said before, I don’t have any evidence at the moment that I will perform it again.

  •

  • Q: What is the one thing of which you are the most proud? (Jennifer, DC, USA)

    My career.

  •

  • Q: How long did it take you to learn English? (Vicky Beken, England)

Years and years, I still am.

  •

  • Q: On your last night in Les Miserables you turned and flashed at the cast and I just wondered were you wearing any thing under the big black coat? (Vicky Beken, England)

    Sorry, won’t tell.

  •

  • Q: Also I heard you may have had something written on your chest is this true? (Vicky Beken, England)

    Sorry, won’t tell.

  •

  • Q: What's it like to play Javert? (Gail, USA)

Javert is a fascinating character ; a misguided closed-off man who’s totally missing out on what he is really about. I find him very moving. Very moving...

  •

  • Q: What are your favourite rock band, and what do you know of Chile? (Polo, Vallenar, Chile)

I don’t have a favorite rock band although I like a number of them. And I have never been to Chile. I would love to go there and visit.

  •

  • Q: Out of all the roles you played, which have you found the most challenging and why? (Jo Daniels, England)

I think I’ve already answered that question. So, I’d say again Judas and the five characters in Road Movie.

  •

  • Q: What is your next move? (Cher, Sydney, Australia)

I have a few possibilities for the future.
I’ll keep you posted about my next moves...

  •

  • Q: With neither of your parents being in your chosen profession, who would you say helped influence or inspire you, in your decision to pursue a career in acting? (Jan, Rural Wales)

Nobody really ; I would say that my mother wasn’t against it, but the decision was totally mine. That’s what I wanted and had to do. There wasn’t any doubt. I was helped later on by my teachers to keep faith in that choice when my career wasn’t going anywhere, and I have to acknowledge people like John Strasberg and Sarah Eigerman.

  •

  • Q: So....what exactly was the message on your chest????? (Jennifer, DC, USA)

Sorry, won’t tell.

  • Q: What's your middle name? *grins* Sorry, always wondered that. (aer, Texas, U.S.)

I’ve got more than one. My full name is Jérôme Jacques Olivier Marie Pradon.
